who created ILLUSTRAPRO BRUSHES

Our story so far.

Our brand started in a small, buzzing tattoo shop where we learnt and understood the true art of tattooing. We saw artists work magic with their hands, but struggling with limited tools. That's why we created InkMaster Brushes – to give artists like you everything you need to create stunning works of art.

 

But we kept getting asked "why only Procreate?" And while we used Procreate, we recognized that many tattoo artists were using InfiniteStudio, Photoshop, and Fresco instead to create their references. So we decided to work with developers to port our brushes to new software so that everyone could have access.

 

It wasn't easy. Procreate allows for things that Photoshop's .abr files do not. Developers are expensive. We needed to do images instead of brushes for stamps. But we're proud to have created a way for artists to use tools outside of Procreate.

 What software are the brushes compatible with?

Our brushes are compatible with any software accepting .pngs (the stencils/stamps) and .abr files for the brushes and brushsets. This typically means Photoshop, Fresco, and InfiniteStudio. If you are looking for our Procreate brushes, they can be found at https://inkmasterbrushes.com. 

How do I use the resources included?

Can these brushes be used for commercial projects?

Yes, you can use our digital brushes for commercial projects and sell your artwork. However, reselling the digital brushes in their original format is prohibited.

How do I receive my brushes and the other tools?

After purchase, you'll instantly receive an email link to download your digital tools. You can easily import these resources into the software on your device. They are in .png and .abr version, so they only work with software that take brushes and images in those formats.  Please confirm compatibility before purchase.

Can I share the purchased brushes with other artists or colleagues?

The usage license of our brushes is personal and non-transferable. Sharing the brushes with third parties is not allowed.

Do I need a digital Pencil to use your digital brushes?

While not strictly necessary, using a digital pencil is strongly recommended to fully utilize the capabilities of our digital brushes. They do have some brush settings based on pen pressure and tilt.

Are you planning updates?

Yes! This brushset is in its infancy - please watch your email for new versions of the brushsets as we fine tune them. None of us (tattoo artists) used anything but Procreate, and the porting process was a new experience for our developers, too. So we expect to make quite the changes in the next year.
